Almost Identical voting pc in Madhya Pradesh and Mizoram

New DelhiA turnout of 75 per cent was recorded in Mizoram and Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections on Wednesday that witnessed single-phase voting amid tight security.
Briefing mediapersons here about Mizoram assembly polls, Deputy Election Commissioner Sudeep Jain, said ''Till 1700 hrs in Mizoram, 75 per cent voter turnout was registered in the 40-member state Assembly and it is likely to go up further.''He said details are still coming in and final figures will be received late in the night or by tomorrow morning.
 
Referring to the Madhya Pradesh assembly polls, Deputy Election Commissioner Chandra Bhushan Kumar said, ''Across 230 assembly constituencies in state, till 1800 hrs, 74.61 per cent voter turn out was registered.''(UNI)
