New Delhi: Mihup Communication Pvt Ltd, a vernacular voice interface platform company, has partnered with Harman International to enable voice-controlled conversation conversions agents in Tata Motors cars.
The partnership is aimed to enhance user experience in the vehicles of Tata Motors, bridging the gap between native speaking users and providing access to innovation.

The product is currently offered with Tata Nexon and Altroz XZ (O), supports a mix of Hindi and English languages, and can be run even without internet connectivity, the company said in a statement on Monday.

Tata's earlier in-vehicle voice assistant had a limited dictionary and absence of vernacular language or Indian dialect support, etc.

The brand wanted an embedded solution to truly make the experience handsfree for drivers, available to the masses, and disassociate the identity of voice assistance with a luxury offering, the statement said.

Mihup's revolutionary solution AVA Auto has addressed all the opportunities for improvement
with respect to the earlier technology of voice assistant from Tata Motors.

AVA Auto offers online, offline and hybrid connectivity options among other features.
Mihup supports Hinglish (Hindi+English) language. The system responds back based on user voicecommand without the need for a manual switch.

''AVA will also support Tamilish and Benglish soon, with a plan to cover all major Indian languages by 2022,'' the statement said.
