49th IFFI to pay homage to Shashi Kapoor, Sridevi, Vinod Khanna

PanajiThe 49th edition of the International Film Festival of India ( IFFI) will pay tributes to late actors Shashi Kapoor, Sridevi and Vinod Khanna while  the cinema of Israel would also be in focus at the event. 
Addressing a press conference in the, Entertainment Society of Goa, one of the organisers of the event, Vice Chairman Rajendra Talak said,""IFFI will pay a tribute to late Sashi Kapoor and late Sridevi. There will also be a tribute to late Vinod Khanna in a special retro section. Six to seven films on sports will be screened, in the special sports section this year.
       
"This year, Israel has been finalized as the country focus and six to seven films will be screened in this section," he said, adding films from 64 countries had confirmed their participation for the 49th IFFI.
 
He said there would be special section dedicated to Kapoor clan as part of the festival and the section would be inaugurated by one of the Kapoor actors.The international event to be held between November 20 to 28 is one of the biggest film festivals in the country organised by Entertainment Society of Goa in association with Directorate of Film Festivals.(UNI)
