New Delhi: Minister of Information and Broadcasting Prakash Javadekar on Friday announced that the Ramayana would be re-telecasted on Doordarshan beginning Saturday.
The famous and the most popular mythological television series of the yester years could once again be seen on TV on DD National with one episode between 0900 hours to 1000 hours and one episode between 2100 to 2200 hours.
"Happy to announce that on public demand, we are starting re-telecast of 'Ramayana' from tomorrow, Saturday March 28 in DD National, One episode in morning 9 am to 10 am, another in the evening 9 pm to 10 pm," Mr Javadekar tweeted.
Ramayan was so popular and binding series in its times that the actors who played the characters of lord Ram, Hanuman , Maa Sita and others were regarded and respected like gods in real life.
People, especially the ones who viewed the series during their childhood will get to re-live there memories attached to times.(UNI)
