Actor Priyanka Chopra Jonas has expressed her excitement about Globetrotter, her much-awaited comeback to Indian cinema, directed by visionary filmmaker SS Rajamouli. The global star said she hopes the film marks “a new era” in her career.
Ahead of the film’s grand launch at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad this Saturday, Priyanka interacted with fans through an #AskPCJ session on X (formerly Twitter), where she shared insights about the project and her experience in the Telugu film industry.
When a fan asked if Globetrotter represents her “grand return to Indian cinema or a whole new PCJ era,” Priyanka replied, “Hopefully a new era and my return to Indian films. I’m not sure. But I know it will be incredible.”
The makers unveiled Priyanka’s first-look poster as Mandakini later in the evening, showing her in a fierce action avatar—draped in a yellow saree, leaping mid-air, and firing a gun amid fiery explosions.
Welcoming her to the project, SS Rajamouli posted on X, “The woman who redefined Indian cinema on the global stage. Welcome back, Desi Girl! Can’t wait for the world to witness your myriad shades of Mandakini.”
Globetrotter marks Priyanka’s first Indian film in six years, reuniting her with Rajamouli and superstar Mahesh Babu in what promises to be one of the biggest cinematic events of 2025.
Earlier, the filmmakers had revealed Mahesh Babu’s first look on his 50th birthday, showcasing a rugged chest adorned with a rudraksh mala featuring a trishul and Nandi pendant—hinting at mythological elements in the film.
Rajamouli also introduced Prithviraj Sukumaran’s character, Kumbha, calling him “sinister and ruthless.” His poster shows him in a dark, intimidating look, seated on a high-tech wheelchair.
The official title and first glimpse of Globetrotter will be unveiled on November 15, 2025, during a grand launch event at Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad, which will be live-streamed on JioHotstar.
