Chennai:Actor Rajinikanth left here for the United States via Doha on a Qatar Alliance flight this morning for medical treatment after obtaining a special permission from the Central government.
Rajinikanth underwent a kidney transplant a few years ago.As the number of positive cases during the second wave of Covid started decreasing, Rajini sought special permission from the Central government to go abroad.
According to reports, Rajinikanth has left for America with his wife Latha after completing the shooting of his upcoming film Annaatthe in Hyderabad. Rajinikanth's son-in-law and actor Dhanush is in the US with his wife and children. He is shooting for the film there. It is being told that during the medical checkup, Rajinikanth will stay with his son-in-law.
Rajinikanth may return to India on July 8. Later, he will begin work on his other projects. Some time ago Rajinikanth had received the jab of the corona vaccine and his picture went viral on social media. Rajinikanth's daughter Soundarya shared a picture of Rajinikanth after receiving the dose of vaccination on her Instagram account.
