Actress Shefali Jariwala passes away in Mumbai

Actress Shefali Jariwala, who became an overnight star with the song "Kaanta Laga", died at the age of 42.Sources said Shefali Jariwala was taken to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital yesterday by her husband, along with three others, after she suddenly experienced chest pain.

It is said that her condition deteriorated around 11 am yesterday. After that, her husband Parag Tyagi took her to the nearby hospital.After reaching the hospital, doctors declared Shefali dead after a preliminary examination, sources said.

Senior cine journalist Vicky Lalwani confirmed Shefali's death in his Instagram post. In the post, he said that he contacted the hospital's senior doctors, but they refused to say anything.

The news of Shefali's death has caused grief among fans and the industry. Celebrities and fans are paying tribute to her on social media. Dr Sushant of the hospital later confirmed the actress' death. Shefali's body was sent to Cooper Hospital, where the post-mortem was conducted.

Shefali lived with her husband in Andheri Lokhandwala, Mumbai. She was also one of the participants in Bigg Boss 13, where her confidence and clarity stood out.

She also appeared in the 2004 film 'Mujhse Shaadi Karogi', starring Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar and Priyanka Chopra.
She also appeared on the dance reality show 'Nach Baliye' seasons 5 and 7, along with her husband, Parag Tyagi, whom she married in 2015.(UNI)
