Chikkaballapur (Karnataka): On the auspicious occasion of Naga Panchami, noted celebrities Tamannaah Bhatia and Rockline Venkatesh attended the Naga Mandala Pooja at Naga Shrine in Sadhguru Sannidhi here late on Monday night.
The pooja was conducted by famous Udupi Vaidyas. Sadhguru, Founder-Isha Foundation, began the process by offering an Arati to Naga.
The Naga Mandala Pooja is a traditional ritual to receive the grace of the sacred serpent, or Naga, which is believed to bring various benefits, including spiritual growth.
It involves the drawing of a mandala- a geometric design, recitation of hymns and mantras and making offerings to the Naga. The pooja is believed to bring harmony, peace, prosperity and spiritual progress while removing obstacles in life and granting success in one’s endeavour.
On the occasion of Naga Panchami, Sadhguru said, "There is an innate longing within human beings to go beyond all limitations. Naga is a living deity created as an access point to Perceive Life on a larger scale."
"Human perception is the basis of who we are. How profoundly you perceive something in any arena of life, the more successful you will be in that arena," Sadhguru said.
"If you strive to enter a realm beyond the survival process, either you will defeat your logic or your logic will defeat you. With logic, you will know the transactional world. Beyond logic, you will know the Profoundness of Life," he added.
A ritual dance called Naga Mandala Nritya was also performed. Devotees also participated in Ashleshabali Pooja which is believed to nullify Sarpa Dosha.
Alongside the rituals, the occasion of Naga Panchami was accompanied by a traditional jathre, or village fair, with food stalls, games, and handicraft stores.
The jathre took place from August 19–21. During this period, devotees also offered Haalu Abhisheka, an offering of milk to receive the grace of Yogeshwar Linga. Consecrated by Sadhguru, the Yogeshwar Linga is established near the 112-foot Adiyogi as a manifestation of five of the major chakras in the human system.
At the Naga Panchami event, many political leaders were seen participating in the event. Among them were Kolar MP Muniswamy, Gulbarga MP Umesh Jadhav, Karnataka Higher Education Minister Dr MC Sudhakar, Karnataka Food and Civil Minister KH Muniyappa, and MLA TB Jayachandra.
Also seen in attendance were Former Karnataka CM SM Krishna’s wife Prema Krishna and Deputy Chief Minister DK Sivakumar’s daughter Aishwarya Hegde.
Among celebrities, Srinidhi Shetty was also seen immersed in the ancient naga rituals.
Sadhguru Sannidhi is a part of Sadhguru’s vision to build spiritual infrastructure across the world that will offer "one drop of spirituality" to all of Humanity.
It currently houses the Naga shrine, Adiyogi, and Yogeshawara Linga. It will also be adobe to Linga Bhairavi Devi, Navagraha Shrines, and two Theerthakunds or energized water bodies along with yoga halls. (UNI)
