Mumbai: Riding on the strong buzz around it and performances by Ranbir Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Anushka Sharma, Karan Johar’s ‘Ae Dil Hae Mushkil’ has earned Rs 13.3 cr on its opening day, trade sources said.
Not far behind, Ajay Devgn’s ‘Shivaay’ earned Rs 10.4 cr on its opening day.Trade experts said that the opening taken by ‘ADHM’ is the third biggest opening for Ranbir and Anushka.
While the highest opening for a film starring Ranbir has been for ‘Besharam’ (Rs 21.
56 cr), the second highest opening was taken by ‘Yeh Jawani Hai Diweani’ (Rs 19.

‘ADHM’ is thus the third highest opener for the Bollywood heartthrob.For Anushka too, ADHM is the third highest opener after Sultan (Rs 36.54 crore) and PK (Rs 27 crore).Trade sources said that while ‘ADHM’ has received a great response in multiplexes in the metros and urban center, ‘Shivaay’ score well in single screens. However, at an overall level, ‘ADHM’ has scroed over ‘Shivaay’, especially in urban centres and multiplexes.
