New Delhi: After breaking box office records and capturing hearts across the country, ‘Saiyaara’, touted as India’s highest-grossing love story, is all set for its digital premiere.
Starring debutants Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, the romantic drama will soon be available for streaming on Netflix.
Today, Netflix announced the global premiere of Saiyaara on the platform. In a release, the streamer shared that the film will stream across 190 countries, on Netflix from Friday.
After a record-breaking run at the box office, Mohit Suri’s Saiyaara is finally set to make its digital debut, two months after its theatrical release.
The film has etched its name in history as India’s highest-grossing romantic film, and also holds the distinction of being the most successful film ever led by debutants.
The film follows the journey of two young lovers from vastly different worlds who defy societal expectations in pursuit of love, freedom, and identity.
With its sweeping visuals, emotional depth, and a chart-topping soundtrack, Saiyaara has resonated strongly with audiences, particularly Gen Z and millennial viewers.
The film received praise from critics for its performances and tone. The music was also well-received, with the title song becoming a chartbuster globally and entering the Billboard Hot 200 chart in the top 10.
Saiyaara earned Rs 329 crore net in India, surpassing even films like Ek Tha Tiger, and ended up with a worldwide gross of Rs 570 crore.
