New Delhi:Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn held a special screening of biographical period action film 'Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior' for the three Chief of Military, the Navy Chief, the Army Chief, and the Air Chief in Delhi.Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, Ajay said,''Honoured to spend an evening with the three Chiefs. Thank you all for the love given to Tanhaji.''
The movie which was screened for the three Military Chiefs on Sunday evening, has become the second highest grossing film of Ajay Devgn, after 'Golmaal Again'.The screening was attended by eminent author, Harinder Sikka, producers Ajay Devgn and Bhushan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak and Vinod Bhanushali.
Directed by Om Raut, the film is set in the 17th century and based on the life of Tanaji Malusare, who was the Koli military leader of Shivaji, founder of the Maratha Empire. The film depicts Tanhaji's attempts to recapture the Kondhana fortress once it passes on to the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb who transfers its control to his trusted guard Udaybhan Singh Rathore.
'Tanhaji' witnessed a smashing weekend two, expecting to cross Rs 200 crore in week three.The movie on Friday garnered Rs 10.06 crore, Saturday Rs 16.36 crore, Sunday Rs 22.12 crore, taking the grand total to Rs Rs 167.45 crore.The flick released on January 10.(UNI)
