Akshay- Hrithik condemn the Bengaluru mass molestation incident

Mumbai: Bollywood superstars Akshay Kumar and Hrithik Roshan have expressed their anger over the incident of molestation of a woman in Bengaluru on New Year’s eve and said it makes them feel ashamed as human beings.Expressing anger over the incident of molestation of a woman in Bengaluru on New Year’s eve, Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar said that he is ashamed to be a human being."The Bangalore incident makes me feel we are evolving backwards, from humans to animals, rather beasts because even animals are better!" Akshay said in a video posted on social networking site Twitter.

Terming the incident "truly shameful", Akshay said his "blood boiled" when he learnt about the molestation."I am ashamed to be a human being today.I was returning from my New Year's vacation with my four-year-old daughter in my arms when I learnt about the molestation incident in Bangalore.I don't know how did you all feel about it, but my blood started boiling.I am a daughter's father but even if I was not one, I feel if a society cannot respect its women, it doesn't deserve to be called a humane society," he said in the video.

Akshay added that what was most disgusting was that people had the guts to justify such shameful acts by criticising women for their choice of clothes.He advised that women should not consider themselves inferior to men."Just be fearless, be alert and learn self-defence.
" The video has gone viral with over 15,000 'likes' and more than 7,000 retweets on Twitter.
Strongly condemning the incident, Aamir said such acts of crime make them lower their heads in shame.

“The Bengaluru incident is saddening.We are hurt and ashamed that such a thing happened in our nation.We and every state government have to take the right steps and this should be a continuous process.There is no single solution to this problem,” the actor, who played a father to two daughter in his recent film ‘Dangal’, said.

While Hrithik in a song launch of oupcoming movie kaabil termed the act disgraceful in a question asked by a journalist. He further added that he didn’t watched the news in real time but when he came to know about the incidence later he was shocked.  Hrithik said that these kind of incidence has a negative effect on our society and it is a responsibility of every citizen to ensure this not happens again.

Dangal’s lead actor Aamir said the best solution to curb crimes against women is by having stricter rules and faster dispensation of justice to the victims.“Law and order will become very strict and so will judiciary.In America, when such an incident happens within two or three months the culprit gets punished and the case is closed.When this will happen here, change will happen.In today’s times, those who molest women think that nothing will happen to them.(UNI)
