Ayodhya/Lucknow: Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar along with actresses Jacqueline Fernandez and Nushrat Bharucha offered prayers at Ram Janambhoomi on Thursday for the Mahurat of their upcoming movie ‘Ram Setu’.

The Bollywood actors were welcomed to Raj Sadan by Raja Ayodhya Vimalendra Mohan Pratap Mishra and his son Yatindra Mishra by giving mementos and Angvastra.

Later the entire Ram setu team reached Lucknow and met chief minister Yogi Adityanath at the CM residence and discussed with him about the upcoming Film Institute in Noida and other issues related to films.

In Ayodhya, the Mahurat of the film Ram Setu was done on the premises of the temple of Ram Lalla. However, the actor’s planned visit to Ram Ki Paidi was cancelled due to a huge gathering of his fans. His convoy returned after reaching Ram Ki Paidi as the security personnel did not allow the actor to get off due to the heavy crowd.

The actors reached Lucknow Airport on Thursday morning and took a road route to Ayodhya where they performed the Muhurat Puja in front of Ramlalla in the Ram Janmabhoomi complex. Jacqueline and Nushrat also joined Akshay for the occasion. The actor shared a photo of the Puja organised in Ayodhya, where he sought the blessings of Lord Ram before the film’s shooting began.

Directed by Abhishek Sharma of ‘Parmanu’ and ‘Tere Bin Laden’ fame, ‘Ram Setu’ will be produced by Akshay’s Cape of Good Films, Abundantia Entertainment, Lyca Productions and Prime Video.(UNI)
