Jammu: Encouraging the border guards here, Bollywood Actor Akshay today recognized himself as reel hero but BSF jawans as real heroes. "I am only a reel hero but you (BSF) people are the real heroes," Akshay Kumar said while addressing BSF jawans at Frontier Headquarters here. He said, "I play with toy guns in films, but you with original guns on borders. Really, you are big hearted." The actor said that BSF jawans should be on the stage in his place and he should have been in the field.
"Aap log hein to hum hein. Aap log hein to Hindustan hai," (It is only because of you we are secure and India), said the 48 year old Akshay. He said that he is feeling honoured to be in Jammu with BSF jawans and termed it as proud moment. Earlier on his arrival Akshay interacted with school children of BSF School and laid wreath at the memorial with a salute wearing BSF Cap. The actor was here in the town to uplift the morale of the BSF jawans.
Since October 21 in cross-border firing, 3 BSF jawans had attained martydom and 2 injured. Meanwhile, locals, families of jawans thronged the venue to have a glimpse of the actor and shake hand with him. Some of them also attempted to click selfies with Akshay. (UNI)
