Akshay Kumar is the latest Bollywood actor to make his debut in the Telugu film industry. Akshay has been brought on-board the project Kannappa, which is produced by Mohan Babu and his son Vishnu Manchu.
The mythology-based film is about the titular devotee of Lord Shiva. Vishnu Manchu plays the lead in the film.
The team released a video of Akshay Kumar greeting Mohan Babu and Vishnu upon his arrival in Hyderabad.
“The #Kannappa journey just got more thrilling as we welcome the Superstar Mr. Akshay Kumar to the Telugu Film Industry. Thrilled to announce his debut in Telugu cinema with Kannappa. Get ready for an unforgettable adventure!,” Manchu Vishnu posted on Instagram.
The film also stars Mohanlal, Prabhas, Prahu Deva, and Sarath Kumar.
The film was shot in Telugu and will be dubbed into other South Indian languages and Hindi.
