Akshay Kumar's film 'Housefull 5' crosses Rs 150 crore in Indian market

Mumbai: Bollywood's khiladi Akshay Kumar continues his box office dominance as 'Housefull 5', the latest chapter in the acclaimed comedy franchise, has surpassed Rs 150 crore in the Indian market.

The fifth installment of Bollywood filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala's superhit comedy franchise 'Housefull' was released on June 6. Directed by Tarun Mansukhani and stars a plethora of talented actors like Akshay Kumar, Ritesh Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sonam Bajwa, Nargis Fakhri, Fardeen Khan, Shreyas Talpade, Chitrangada Singh, Dino Morea, Chunky Pandey, Johnny Lever, Nikiten Dheer, Soundarya Sharma, Ranjit, Jackie Shroff, Sanjay Dutt and Nana Patekar.

Adding to the novelty, 'Housefull 5' was released with two alternate climaxes, offering audiences an unpredictable viewing experience and boosting repeat footfall.

According to box office tracker Sacnilk, 'Housefull 5' amassed an impressive Rs 127.25 crore in its opening week. On the eighth day, the film earned Rs 6 crore, Rs 9.5 crore on day nine and a robust Rs 11 crore on the tenth day, culminating in a total domestic collection Rs 153 crore.
