Alia Bhatt to make Hollywood debut with ‘Wonder Woman’ Gal Gadot. Details inside

Mumbai: Riding on waves of success after her critically and commercially acclaimed performance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's directorial “Gangubai Kathiawadi”, Alia Bhatt is now set to make her Hollywood debut in Netflix spy thriller “Heart of Stone”.

She will be seen alongside “Wonder Woman” Gal Gadot.

The film will be helmed by Tom Harper, from a script penned by Greg Rucka and Allison Schroeder, the OTT streaming platform made the announcement on Tuesday.

The producer credits will be shared between Skydance's David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Don Granger, along with Mockingbird's Bonnie Curtis and Julie Lynn, and Pilot Wave's Gal Gadot and Jaron Varsano while Patty Whitcher, Tom Harper and Greg Rucka will handle executive production.

The details of the plot and Alia Bhatt's role in the film are currently under wraps, though according to the official statement the film revolves around Rachel Stone (Gadot) an intelligence operative, the only woman who stands between her powerful, global, peace-keeping organization and the loss of its most valuable — and dangerous — asset.

Alia is currently moving forward with a jam packed schedule and is set hit the big screen with films, including "RRR" by S.S Rajmouli, "Brahmastra" by Ayan Mukerji, "Darling" by Jasmeet K Reen and "Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani" by Karan Johar. (UNI)
