Amid polls, Alia, Varun promote Badrinath Ki Dulhania in UP

Lucknow: Bollywood star Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan were here today for the promotion of their upcoming movie ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya’ which is expected to be released on March 10, three days before Holi. The duo are leaving no stone unturned for the promotion of the movie. Addressing the media here in Wave Mall, Mr Dhawan told about the storyline of the movie. He said movie revolves around character ‘Badri’ who belongs to Jhansi district of Uttar Pradesh.

‘Badri’ falls in love with ‘Vaidehi’ (Alia Bhatt) who studies in Kota district of Rajasthan. After making their debut in Karan Johar’s ‘Student of the Year’ both Varun and Alia were teamed up in ‘Humpty Sharma ki Dulhaniya’. Now the duo will be seen sharing screen in ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya.’ About his hair style in movie, Mr Dhawan said that character in film was fan of cricketer Virat Kohli and copied his hair style.

He said that he had asked Virat before keeping his hair style in the movie. Mr Dhawan said that film was neither a sequel, nor a continuation. He said it is an entirely different story with different background of characters and angle of love. (UNI)
