Amitabh Bachchan applauds Siddhant Chaturvedi-Tripti Dimri starrer 'Dhadak 2' trailer on social media

Mumbai: Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan has lent his voice of support to the romantic drama "Dhadak 2" by unveiling its trailer on his official social media platform, offering words of encouragement to the film's cast and creators.

A spiritual sequel to the 2018 romantic drama "Dhadak", which starred Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khattar, "Dhadak 2" features Siddhant Chaturvedi and Tripti Dimri in lead roles. The film explores love caught in the crossfire of rigid social hierarchies, with a fresh narrative and emotionally charged performances.

Sharing the trailer on his official X (formerly Twitter) handle, Amitabh Bachchan wrote, "All good wishes ..", Meenu Aroraa, the film's producer, expressed her gratitude replying, "Your blessings and support means the world to me and to all of us. Thank you, Sir!"

Helmed by debutante director Shazia Iqbal, "Dhadak 2" is produced under Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, Zee Studios, Cloud 9 Pictures. It is scheduled to hit cinemas on August 1.
