Assamese filmmaker Rima Das wins Best Director Award

Guwahati: Assamese filmmaker Rima Das has bagged the 'Best Director Award' for her movie, Bulbul Can Sing at the Jagran Film Festival (JFF) held in Mumbai on Sunday last.
National Award-winning film 'Bulbul Can Sing' hit the theatres on September 20 in 30 
Cinema Halls across the country.  Critically acclaimed 'Bulbul Can Sing' has also bagged the Rajat Kamal Award in the Regional Language Film category at the 66th National Film Awards. It also bagged the National Award for the Best Assamese Film for 2019.
 
'Bulbul Can Sing' also won the Golden Gateway Award at the 20th edition of Jio MAMI 
Mumbai Film Festival with Star.Jagran Film Festival is an initiative by the Jagran Prakashan Group towards creating a culture of cinema appreciation and an honest and sincere attempt to create a platform that connects great content with audiences across the country.(UNI)
