Javed Akhtar denies penning any song for PM Narendra Modi's Biopic

Mumbai: Veteran Bollywood screenplay writer and lyricist Javed Akhtar has denied having written any songs for 'PM Narendra Modi', the biopic on the life of the Prime Minister.  In a post on social media, Mr Javed Akhtar said he was shocked to find his name features as a lyricist on the poster of the film.

"Am shocked to find my name on the poster of this film. Have not written any songs for it!,''he tweeted.Produced by Sandeep  Singh in collaboration with Suresh Oberoi, Anand Pandit and Achary Manish and directed by Omung Kumar, 'PM Narendra Modi' features Vivek Oberoi in the title role.

It is scheduled for release on April 5.The cast of the biopic also includes Manoj Joshi as BJP president Amit Shah, Boman Irani as industrialist Ratan Tata, and Kishori Shahane as Indira Gandhi.(UNI)
