Panaji: Legendary actor and Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan said he treated love and affection of his fans like a debt which he would never like to repay.
Speaking after being felicitated at the 50th edition of International Film Festival of India (IFFI), he said, "I would like to thank my fans the most. In highs and lows you have been with me and I have always been saying this... I am in debt of your love and affection. I do not want to repay the debt, because I would like to keep it forever."

Speaking about another legendary actor Rajnikanth, who was bestowed upon 'Icon Of Golden Jubilee Award at the gala event, the 'Shahanshah' said he treated him like a member of his family and both advised each other though none of them listens to the advises.

"I consider Rajinikanth as a member of my family. We keep nagging each other. We both give advice to each other, but sometimes we do not listen to the advice. But this is how a relationship is. He has come from such humble beginnings. He inspires us every day and every night," Bachchan said.

Earlier, walking the Red Carpet of IFFI 50, Bachchan said, " Films have always been an integral part of our social life. To have a festival of this magnitude in Goa  exposes the Goans to what happens in the international world and also gives them  an opportunity to meet and mix with people.''

The 50th edition of the festival also features a special retrospective section dedicated to films starring Bachchan.(UNI)
