Big Boss fame Yashika Anand critically injured in road accident, friend died on the spot

Chennai: Popular actress and Big Boss fame Yashika Anand sustained injuries, while her friend was killed in a road accident near Mamallapuram, about 55 km from here, on the East Coast Road, late on Saturday night.

Police sources said Yashika was returning to the city in a car along with her friend Vallichatti Bhavani (28) and two of other male friends, when the car accident occurred at Sulerikadu on the ECR.

One of the two male friends of the actor, who was behind the wheels, was driving at a break neck speed, when he lost control of the vehicle.

The car hit the road median and overturned, throwing Bhavani out of the car.

Vallichatti Bhavani, a native of Hyderabad and is working as a software engineer in the United States, sustained multiple injuries and was killed on the spot.

Passers-by and other motorists rescued those in the car and rushed them to a hospital.

The body of Bhavani was shifted to Chengelpet Government hospital for post mortem, while Yashika and two others, were initially treated at the local hospital and shifted to a private hospital in Chennai for advanced treatment.

Reports said that Yashika has suffered fractures in her rib cage and right leg. Her condition was said to be stable.

Mamallapuram police have registered a case and are investigating. (UNI)
