Mumbai: Bigg Boss 7 runner up Tanishaa Mukerji has given a big shoutout to Shamita Shetty, calling her "a strong girl", as she wished the "Mohabbatein" star a smooth sailing in the 15th season in the house.
The Salman Khan hosted reality TV show is nearing the end of the season, with Shamita making headlines for her fights, arguments, and relationships.
Tanisha Mukerji was interacting with the media ahead of her forthcoming release "Code Name Abdul" when she was asked about her favorite contestant in the Bigg Boss House.
She said, “Shamita Shetty is a friend of mine, and from whatever I have seen, she is definitely a strong girl following her integrity and intentions, I wish her all the best. I know it is not easy, but I wish her a smooth sailing.”
As "Code Name..." trailer is out, she also shared her family's reaction.
"My mother is quite aware of the fact that we have worked hard for this project, she was very excited to see me as Salma in the trailer, as an actor I think I was able to surprise them, as they hadn’t seen me in such a role before,” said the actress who debuted in 2005 opposite Uday Chopra in "Neal n Nikki".
"Code Name Abdul" is written and directed by Eshwar Gunturu and features Tanishaa Mukerji in the lead role. The film revolves around a secret mission given to RAW.
"The movie is not preachy, it is for entertainment, it is a thrilling movie, so we’re taking the audience on a thrilling ride, audience will enjoy the new experience,” she said.
The film is scheduled for theatre release on December 10. (UNI)
