BMC seals residence of Kareena Kapoor after actress tests positive for COVID-19

Mumbai: The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Tuesday sealed the residence of Bollywood actor Kareena Kapoor, who had tested positive for Covid-19 on Monday, while her bestie Amrita Arora also tested positive for the virus.

According to reports, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Amrita Arora attended a party together recently, now with two people testing positive, BMC is trying to track down the entire guest list and minimize the spread.

The '3 Idiots' actor took to her Instagram handle and shared a story in which she wrote, "I have tested for positive for Covid-19. I immediately isolated myself while following all medical protocols. I request anyone who has come in contact with me to please get tested." 

Kareena continued, "My family and staff are also double vaccinated. They are currently not showing any symptoms. Thankfully, I am feeling ok and hope to be up and about soon."

Amrita also shared an official statement on her social media profile, confirming the news. Taking to her social media profile, Amrita shared, "I have tested positive for Covid-19. I am following all the medical guidelines and BMC rules. Anyone who has been in contact with me, please get tested. My family and staff are all fully vaccinated and have all tested negative. Stay safe, stay Responsible."

Amrita is married to Shakeel Ladak, a businessman from construction industry in 2009. They have two sons named Azaan and Rayaan. Arora started her career as VJ for MTV. She made her Bollywood debut in 2002 opposite Fardeen Khan in the film, Kitne Door Kitne Paas. She was last seen in Kambakth Ishq, produced by Sajid Nadiadwala.

Meanwhile, Kareena Kapoor Khan will soon be seen in Laal Singh Chaddha with Aamir Khan. Laal Singh Chaddha is directed by Advait Chandan from screenplay written by Eric Roth and Atul Kulkarni. An adaptation of the 1994 American film Forrest Gump which itself based on Winston Groom's 1986 novel of the same name, the film also marks Bollywood debut of Naga Chaitanya.

The film is produced by Aamir Khan Productions, Viacom18 Studios and Paramount Pictures, and is slated for release in 2022. (UNI)
