Mumbai: Seems like Bollywood has been failing to capitalize the events and days this year. Not long ago, Republic day passed and the much touted movie "Padmaavat was released.  The movie didn’t have any patriotic flavor, it was based on a poem titled "Padmaavat" written by Malik Muhammad Jayasi.
The same can be said for Valentine week of 2018. Generally, producers wait to release light hearted romantic movies in the month of February to lure love birds at box office. Akshay Kumar's Padman was slated to be released on 25th march but Khiladi averted a clash with Padmaavat and released the movie on 9th February (Chocolate day of Valentine week).

The movie "Padman" is based on the social stigma attached with the menstural cycle of women. Surely, The movie is being hailed by critics but it can not be called as a hardcore love story. Clearly, Bollywood has failed to capture the cupid factor. In year 2016, two romantic movies “Fitoor” and “Sanam re” was released on February 12. (WD)
