Mumbai: In a major relief to the actors who are above the age of 65 years, the Bombay High Court on Friday permitted them to resume shooting hence quashing the government notification which restricted them to work, citing COVID-19 crisis.
The Court passed an order during the hearing of a petition filed by senior actor Pramod Pandey on July 21, which challenged the said directive.
The order remarked that no such restriction could be imposed on the basis of age of the persons and clarified that only precautionary guidelines which are applicable to all other business shall be applicable.No specific condition can be imposed in respect of a particular section, it added. (UNI)
