It was 8 years ago that Deepika Padukone stunned the audiences and critics alike with her fabulous performance as Meenamma in Rohit Shetty’s superhit film, Chennai Express.

Not only did the actor further prove her mettle as an actor with a performance par excellence and make the character one of the most loved in the history of cinema, but she was also conclusively crowned Queen of Bollywood, the number one actress in the industry with this film.

In that way, it is also 8 years of Deepika Padukone’s reign in the industry, which still continues and doesn’t seem to be changing anytime in the near future as well. Credit to her having one of the best line up of films currently.
