New Delhi: Disney+ Hotstar is all set to premiere the record-breaking film ‘Sita Ramam’ in Hindi, on November 18, starring Dulquer Salmaan, Mrunal Thakur, and Rashmika Mandanna.
Set in the 1960’s, ‘Sita Ramam’ narrates a love story through letters between Princess Noor Jahan alias Sita Mahalakshmi and Lieutenant Ram. Afreen, a young rebellious student in London, enters the story on a quest to find Sita and deliver Ram’s last letter, leading to the unfolding of many truths of Afreen’s life.
The movie is presented by Dr. Jayantilal Gada (Pen Studios) and produced by Swapna Cinemas and Vyjanthi Movies, directed and written by Hanu Raghavapudi.
Sharing his experience working on a genre like romance, Hanu, said, “Sita Ramam was created on a large canvas with the vision of breaking language barriers. Its relatable storyline features a romance that can be understood and enjoyed by everyone. I am excited for the film to be released on Disney+ Hotstar in Hindi because this will be a step towards a larger audience experiencing the world of Ram and Sita Mahalakshmi.”
Dulquer said, “I feel extremely lucky to be a part of a poetic romance film like Sita Ramam. The film is universal, and it is visually spectacular, which is why it has struck a chord with the audience. I am sure that with more people getting to watch in Hindi on Disney+ Hotstar, they will get struck by its beautiful cinematography and unique story.”
Mrunal shared, “Being part of an enigmatic story was the biggest lucrative reason for me to be part of Sita Ramam. Despite whatever small hurdles that I did have to adapt to and learn from, I was so elated to be part of this film. Learning a new language seemed a small hike in exchange of this beautifully written character by Hanu sir.”
