Divya Khosla Kumar Calls the Industry a ‘Crocodile Pit’, Breaks Silence on Divorce Rumours

Actor-filmmaker Divya Khosla Kumar recently interacted with fans during a Reddit Q&A session, where she addressed everything from her professional challenges to persistent rumours about her personal life.

When a fan asked how she protects her mental health amid the industry’s toxicity and competitive pressure, Divya didn’t hold back. She described Bollywood as “a place full of crocodiles”, adding that finding an honest, secure space in the industry is incredibly tough.

She said staying grounded is her biggest strength.

“I will never sell my soul for work,” Divya clarified. “If opportunities come, good. If they don’t, that’s fine. What matters is rising with clean karma.”

Speaking about her favourite project, Divya mentioned Saavi, a film she shot in the UK under extreme conditions. She recalled working 42 consecutive days in –10°C temperatures but said the exceptional production experience made it worthwhile.

During the Q&A, a fan directly asked whether she was divorced. Divya addressed the rumours head-on:

“No, I am not divorced. But the media definitely wants me to be.”

Divya married Bhushan Kumar—producer and T-Series chairman—in 2005.

On the work front, she was last seen in Ek Chatur Naar, co-starring Neil Nitin Mukesh, where she played the role of a poor woman in a film built around a socially uplifting message.
