While the country reels under Coronavirus pandemic the recent cyclone Tauktae has made the situation worse in the west coastal areas. Especially in Mangaluru and Mumbai, many shops have been dislodged and 50+ fatalities have been reported. (PIC-UNI)
The daily soap Diya Aur Baati fame actress Deepika Singh was on the receiving end when she opted for a photo shoot in this grim situation with an uprooted tree in the backdrop. It felt she is totally unaffected by the present situation.
Initially, she shared few photos with the caption-You can’t calm the storm, so stop trying. What you can do is calm yourself, embrace nature and its gloomy moods because the storm will pass.. Ps: This tree fell right outside my house nobody got hurt, but while putting it away from my door, Rohit and I managed to take few pictures to remember the #cyclonetauktae! #staysafe #stayhome #fullmadness @rohitraj.goyal.
Later she posted a video of herself having a splash in the rainwater in the same background with the caption" “Bola tha na life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass, it’s learning to dance in the rain.”
She was trolled severely on her Instagram account. Netizens commented “People are dying in cyclone .. people like you enjoying this. what a shame” Don't promote these types of videos.... it was not good to be outside...” and many such comments can be seen on the timeline of her videos and photos.
Deepika Singh is a famous TV actress and has 2 million Instagram followers, but clearly, her photo and video shoot during the cyclone Tauktae didn't go well with her fans and critics.
Her mother contracted coronavirus last year during the first wave and she sought help from Arvind Kejriwal. She belongs to a joint family of 45 members. (WD)
