Fans ask Samantha to delete wedding pictures with ex-husband Naga Chaitanya

Mumbai: Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya's divorce in 2021 left fans heartbroken, as their four-year marriage ended. Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala tied the knot on December 4, at the Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad, where they paid homage to Chay’s grandfather ANR.
 
While netizens are showering love on their unseen nuptial pictures but many were seen advising Samatha to "end the Chay-Sam era" and close that chapter of her life.
 
A scroll through Samantha’s Instagram reveals a wedding picture of the couple from 2017. The post, dated November 23, 2017, was a heartfelt birthday wish for Chaitanya, where she penned, “Happy birthday, my everything. Fans have noticed the lingering post and urged the Citadel: Honey Bunny star to delete it, now that Chaitanya has remarried.
 
However, Samantha has previously been candid about the emotional toll of their separation. In an interview shortly after the divorce, she admitted, “I know I’m still going to live my life, and with all the issues that I now faced in my personal life, I was surprised at how strong I was. I thought I was a much weaker person.”
 
The actress went on to add, “I thought that with my separation, I would crumble and die. I didn’t think I was capable of being this strong... Today I’m very, very proud of how strong I am because I really didn’t know I was.”
 
While Naga Chaitanya embarks on a new chapter with Sobhita, Samantha continues to focus on her career. On the work front she recently headlined "Citadel: Honey Bunny" alongside Varun Dhawan.
