Fame brings with it a large fan base. Celebrities cannot exist without their fans in the same way that fans cannot live without their favorite celebrities. The audience is what makes a performer a star. Some fans go to tremendous lengths to show affection for their favorite celebrities. Sidharth Malhotra enjoys the same stardom as his fans storm India Gate in his jacket avatar from the first look of his highly anticipated film, Mission Majnu.

All set to release on January 20, 2023, during Republic Day week, Sidharth Malhotra's fans enthusiastically expressed their love and support for the film. On the occasion of Vijay Diwas on December 16, 40 people were seen sporting the Mission Majnu jacket at India Gate. Vijay Diwas is observed on December 16 every year to recognize the victory of Indian military forces over Pakistan in the 1971 war. On this day, India pays tribute to all the warriors who have protected the country.

Sidharth Malhotra commented on his fans' thoughtful gesture, "I am what I am today because of my fans. It was a heartwarming experience to see them (the fans) at India Gate. I owe it all to them. I can't wait for them to see Mission Majnu and hope that they love it."

Mission Majnu is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language action thriller directed by Shantanu Bagchi and produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Amar Butala, and Garima Mehta. The film stars Sidharth Malhotra and Rashmika Mandanna and is about the unsung tale of India's largest secret operation, which transformed the politics between India and its neighboring nation in the 1970s.
