FIR registered against actor Sahil Khan's fan for threatening TV journalist

Mumbai: The city police have registered a criminal case against a fan of actor and fitness trainer Sahil Khan, who is allegedly involved in the Rs 15,000-crore Mahadev betting app case, based on a complaint filed by a city-based TV journalist.
 
As per the complaint, TV journalist Shahid Ansari asked Khan several questions based on his involvement in the case, when he was produced in a local court by police, seeking extension of his custody.
 
The FIR has been registered by the local Azad Maidan police station under the new Maharashtra Media Persons and Media Institutions Act.
 
A fan of accused actor, identified as Karan, who was also present outside the court, had allegedly stopped Ansari from asking questions to Khan and threatened him with dire consequences, the complaint stated.
 
Later, the accused also posted objectionable comments about Ansari on his Instagram account.
A complaint in this regard has been filed and police are investigating the case, sources added.
