Forbes Celeb 100: Salman bags 1st position: Know who is the only actress in Top-5

New Delhi: Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has grabbed first position on the Forbes India celebrity 100 list as the highest grossing celebrity for the third consecutive year, while leading lady Deepika Padukone figured in the top five of the list. The first woman to do so.

In the Forbes India list of 100 richest celebrities, Salman is on the top with an annual income of Rs 253.25 crore. Deepika ranked on number four in the list.

Deepika Padukone graced the cover of Forbes India as the magazine unveiled the list for the year.

The second place was won by Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli. His annual earnings stood at Rs 228.09 crore.

Deepika not only won hearts of the audience with her award-winning performance in ‘Padmaavat’, but also emerged as the first actress to headline a Rs 300 crore film.

The actress who earns Rs 112.8 crore annually, was paid more than her male co-stars for the magnum opus and has emerged as the highest paid actress of Bollywood.

Honouring the accomplishments of the actress, Forbes India took to their Instagram handle and unveiled the cover sharing, “Deepika Padukone (@deepikapadukone) is the first woman to break into the top five on the #ForbesIndiaCeleb100”.

Deepika raised the temperature on the cover in a pale blue cardigan and accessorized her look with hoops.

On the work front, Deepika Padukone turns producer for Meghna Gulzar’s next directorial. The actress will also play the lead in the film, which is the story of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal. (UNI)
