Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan paid a heartfelt tribute to the victims of the 26/11 Mumbai attacks, the Pahalgam terror strike, and the recent Delhi blast, while saluting India’s brave soldiers at the Global Peace Honours 2025.

On November 22, Khan attended a commemorative event in Mumbai organised by the Divyaj Foundation, led by Amruta Fadnavis, wife of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. Held at the Gateway of India, the ceremony honoured the courage and sacrifice of the martyrs of 26/11 and the victims of the Pahalgam attack.

One of the evening’s standout moments was Shah Rukh Khan’s powerful address. He said, “My humble tribute to the innocent people who lost their lives in the 26/11 terrorist attack, the Pahalgam terrorist attack, and the recent Delhi blasts, and my respectful salute to our brave security personnel who were martyred in these attacks.”

The actor also recited stirring lines dedicated to the soldiers of India:

“Jab koi poochhe tumse ki kya karte ho, to seena thok kar kehna, ‘main desh ki raksha karta hoon.’ Poochhe agar koi ki kitna kama lete ho, halke se muskura kar kehna, ‘140 crore logon ki duayein kama leta hoon.’ Aur agar phir poochhe, ‘kabhi dar nahi lagta?’ toh aankhon mein aankhen daal kar kehna, ‘jo humpe hamla karte hain, unko lagta hai.’” (When someone asks what you do, say with pride that you protect the nation. If they ask how much you earn, smile and say you earn the blessings of 1.4 billion people. And if they still ask whether you ever feel fear, look them in the eye and say: those who attack us are the ones who should be afraid.)
