Gold medalist 'Sultan' will be honored with Rs 10 Lakh: YRF

Mumbai: Yash Raj Films, which produced the blockbuster ‘Sultan’, based on life of the Olympian medal winner Sultan Ali Khan, has announced that it would give Rs 10 lakh cash award for Indian athletes who win gold for the country at Rio Olympic games.

"YRF has announced to honour Indian athletes competing in Rio with Rs 10 lakh cash reward if they win a gold for the country," a YRF spokesperson said.YRF officials said that the announcement by the company is its initiative to encourage the “true Sultans and Aarfas” at Rio Olympic games.It is notable that 'Sultan' also shows Sultan’s beloved Aarfa as an Olympic medal aspirant for India.

"This is what we call reel reaches out in real - one just doesn't make a film on an underdog athlete but also extends it in the most genuine way to encourage the true Sultan’s and Aarfa’s at Rio.
