Grand opening ceremony with music concert by Anirudh Ravichander to mark titanic CSK-MI IPL clash today

Chennai: The first home game of five time winners Chennai Super Kings (CSK) against Mumbai Indians, also five time champions, in the 18th Edition of IPL will kick off with a 20-minute grand opening ceremony--a music concert by renowned composer and singer Anirudh Ravichander at the iconic M A Chidambaram stadium here on Sunday.

CSK MD KS Viswanathan said the much-anticipated spectacular opening ceremony will precede the thrilling opening match between CSK and MI.

The highlight of the evening would be a special music performance by renowed composer Anirudh Ravichander.

Accompanied by a dynamic dancer troupe, Anirudh's electrifying performance will be held from 1830 hrs to 1850 hrs, promising fans an unforgettable start to the new IPL season.

"To accommodate fans eager to participate in the festivities, the stadium gates will open to the general public from 1630 hrs. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to enjoy the pre-match celebrations and to facilitate a smooth entry into the venue", he said.
