In her book, Open Book, the actress Kubbra Sait made a shocking revelation revealed that she had an abortion following a one-night affair.

In one of the chapters in her book, which is titled ‘I Wasn’t Ready to Be a Mother’, the Sacred Games actress discussed how she went through an abortion after a one night stand a few years ago.

In her book, she wrote about her trip to the Andaman Islands when she was 30 years old. She claimed that she went out for a couple of beers with her friends after scuba diving and got intimate with one of them. When she didn’t get her period a few days later, she took a pregnancy test and found it was positive. “A week later, I decided to terminate the pregnancy. I wasn’t ready for it. It just wasn’t the way I had imagined my life or my journey,” she wrote in her book.

Kubbra said in an interview that she had ‘no regrets’ about not being ready to accept motherhood at that point in her life. “It just wasn’t the way I had imagined my life or my journey. I think I was not ready for it. I was not ready because I was not ready for it as a human being. I don’t think I am ready. I don’t understand this pressure around women to get married at 23 and have children by the time they are 30. It is like a set invisible rulebook. I knew I was not ready for it,” she said.

The actress added that due to this choice she felt like a “terrible human being”. “But my feeling bad did not come from how I felt but rather how other people would perceive it,” she said.
