New Delhi: Riding on its unconventional storyline and performances by Arjun and Shraddha, Mohit Suri's 'Half Girlfriend ' has got a good opening at the box office in India, earning Rs 20.90-crore on its first two days, trade sources said today.Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor starrer 'Half Girlfriend' had a decent start at the box office, earning Rs 10.27-crore on its opening day.
It managed to remain steady on its second day yesterday, collecting Rs 10.63-crore on its first Saturday, taking its two days total to Rs 20.90-crore.The collections came despite the blockbuster 'Baahubali 2' going strong at the box office and the IPL semi-finals.Reacting to the opening taken by the film, Shreyans Hirawat of NH Studioz, the company that is distributing the film nationwide said,'We are ecstatic at this opening figure.
'Half Girlfriend' has not only managed to stand out with its immense hype and pre-buzz, but also recorded a fantastic opening of Rs 10.27-crore, in the face of the ‘Baahubali 2’ wave and the IPL match factor.'
