‘Happy Birthday, My Dear Heart’: Hema Malini Remembers Dharmendra on His 90th Birth Anniversary

Actor Hema Malini paid a heartfelt tribute to Dharmendra on what would have been his 90th birthday, sharing an emotional note.

In a moving social media post, Hema Malini expressed how deeply the loss has affected her and how she is slowly learning to navigate life without him.

“Dharam ji, happy birthday my dear heart. More than two weeks have passed since you left me heartbroken, and I am slowly gathering the pieces and trying to reconstruct my life, knowing you will always be with me in spirit,” she wrote.

She went on to reflect on their decades-long life together:

“The joyful memories of our life together can never be erased, and just reliving those moments brings me great solace and happiness. I thank God for our lovely years together, for our two beautiful girls who reaffirm our love, and for all the happy memories that will remain with me in my heart.”

On his birth anniversary, she offered a prayer for his peace:

“On your birthday, my prayers are for God to grant you the wealth of peace and happiness that you richly deserve for your humility, goodness of heart, and love for humanity. Happy birthday, dear love.”

Hema Malini also shared a series of cherished couple photographs captioned “Our happy ‘together’ moments.”



Dharmendra’s eldest son, actor Sunny Deol, also remembered him with an emotional video on Instagram, writing:

“Aaj mere papa ka janamdin hai. Papa hamesha mere saath hai, mere andar hain. Love you papa, miss you.”

Dharmendra, who passed away on November 24 after a prolonged illness, enjoyed a celebrated career spanning over six decades with more than 300 films. Known for his versatility and charm, he captivated audiences with unforgettable performances in Sholay, Chupke Chupke, Phool Aur Patthar, Aankhen, Shikar, Aya Sawan Jhoom Ke, Ayee Milan Ki Bela, and Anupama.

His final film, the military drama Ikkis, is set to be released on December 25.
