Here’s WHY Sajid Nadiadwala backed out of Salman Khan-starrer ‘Kabhi Eid, Kabhi Diwali’

Mumbai: Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has taken over production of his upcoming film “Kabhi Eid, Kabhi Diwali”, and has advanced the release to December 30, 2022, from Eid in 2023.

The set of the film was being built over Film City helipad, though following Khan's takeover of the producer angle, the destination has been abandoned and has since then been moved closer to the actor's Panvel home.

Reportedly, Khan took over production after disagreeing with producer Sajid Nadiadwala on several key aspects, the biggest being Sajid's doubts over both the script after the recent failures he has encountered at the box office such as “Baaghi 3”, “Tadap” and most recently the social comedy “Bachchan Pandey” which performed terribly at the box office.

Salman however, had enough confidence in the script and thus took the production duties from him.

As of such, Nadiadwala won't be associated with the film, but despite the disagreements, there has been no bad blood between the two long time associates.

Salman's production house, Salman Khan Films, has produced movies like "Bajrangi Bhaijaan", "Tubelight", "Hero", "Race 3", "Loveyatri", "Bharat", "Dabangg 3" among others, and the actor is currently set to mark his Telugu debut in Mohan Raja's directorial “Godfather” which stars superstar Charanjeevi.

He is also set to play a cameo in Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham's upcoming film “Pathaan”, in which he will be reprising his role of Tiger. (UNI)
