When the trailer of John Abraham and Emraan Hashmi starrer Mumbai saga was released trade analyst termed it as a movie of the masses. A typical masala movie that every movie buff loves to watch in leisure. If not the multiplexes the trailer promised a large turnout in the single screen theatres but the collections are saying an altogether different story.
The movie collected a meager 2.8 crore on day 1. The movie's collection is lower than Ruhi in single screen which had metrosexual youth as its target audience. The movie failed to create buzz and the performance at the box office may not have been much different in the absence of a corona pandemic. The filmmakers are expecting a miracle on weekends.

Written and directed by Sanjay Gupta the movie features John Abraham, Emraan Hashmi, Suneil Shetty, Jackie Shroff, Amol Gupte, Prateik Babbar, Gulshan Grover and Rohit Roy in the lead roles.Set in the 1980s-'90s, the film revolves around all that went into transforming Bombay into Mumbai.

Gulshan Kumar presents, T-Series and White Feather Films production, 'Mumbai Saga', is  produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar and Anuradha Gupta.
