New Delhi: Former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen took a dig at ‘intellectuals’ and trolls for calling her a ‘gold digger’.
The post comes days after former Indian Premier League (IPL) chairman Lalit Modi had claimed that he is in a relationship with Sushmita and shared some cozy photos with the actress from their recent Maldives vacation.
Earlier, Sushmita had cleared the air on her wedding rumours with Lalit Modi and clarified that she is "not married".
The former Miss Universe on Sunday took to her Instagram handle and shared a beautiful picture of herself in a black swimsuit, looking at the sea.
Along with the photo, Sushmita penned a long note where she reacted to the trolls who called her a "gold digger".
“Perfectly centred in my being & my conscience…I love how nature merges all it's creation to experience oneness. and just how divided we are, when we break that balance. It's heartbreaking to see just how miserable & unhappy the world around us is becoming,” the ‘Aankhen’ actress said.
“The so called intellectuals with their idiosyncrasies... the ignorant with their cheap & at times funny gossip The friends I never had & the acquaintances I've never met...all sharing their grand opinions & deep knowledge of my life & character…monetising the 'Gold Digger' ' all the way!!! Ah these geniuses,” the post further read.
Hitting back at the trolls, Sushmita said that she digs deeper than gold and have always preferred diamonds. “I dig deeper than Gold…and I've always (famously) preferred Diamonds!! And yes I still buy them myself!!!”
She concluded the note by extending love to her well wishers. “I love the all heart support my well wishers & loved ones continue to extend. Please know, your Sush is ABSOLUTELY fine.. cause I've never lived on the transient borrowed light of approval & applause. I am the Sun...perfectly Centred in my being & my conscience!! I love you guys!!! #stayblessed #stayhappy #rise”, she added.
The post has garnered more than three lakh likes and fans are showering love on Sushmita. One user wrote, “how elegantly put”, while the other said, “You are the sun that can blind all the haters and their hate with your sunshine!”
