New Delhi: The road to power, a heart-warming friendship and the charm of the 60s, Disney+ Hostar’s upcoming power-packed series, Sultan Of Delhi has it all.

Based on the book, Sultan of Delhi: Ascension by Arnab Ray, the series is produced by Reliance Entertainment and Directed by Milan Luthria and Co-Directed and Co-written by Suparn Verma.

Reimagining the charm of old India and creating a visual spectacle on-screen, Milan Luthria marks his OTT directorial debut with this larger than life mass entertainer, ‘Sultan Of Delhi” which is all set to release on 13th October 2023.

The series stars Tahir Raj Bhasin, Anjumm Shharma, veteran actor Vinay Pathak alongside Nishant Dahiya and the ladies Anupriya Goenka, Mouni Roy, Harleen Sethi and Mehreen Pirzada, making for a perfect ensemble cast.

Working with a director like Milan Luthria is a dream for many and a learning experience for those whose dreams come true. From the sets to the minute detailing of every character, his work is crafted to perfection and each actor as well as filmmakers get a lot of tips and advice from him during a project. Tahir Raj Bhasin shares his experience of working with Milan Luthria.

Talking about the same, Tahir Raj Bhasin said, “It was an absolute privilege to work with Milan Luthria. He is such a master of his craft, methodical, detailed and yet leaves breathing room for last minute flashes of creativity. Milan sir’s films are works of legends and I remember watching Kachche Dhaage as a child and loving the sense of adventure his stories bring to screen.

The style he brought to his film Once Upon a Time in Mumbai is so iconic that when I heard he is going to create a world that mixed the adventure of Kachche Dhaage and the iconic vintage charm of Once Upon a Time in Mumbai I felt like it was a childhood dream come true. I have learnt so much about action and body language from Milan sir’s constant attention to detail but mostly I have learnt how to have fun when you’re creating and enjoy the process.”

Sultan of Delhi is set to stream, 13th October, 2023 onwards, exclusively on Disney+ Hotstar. (UNI)
