'India First' oath from Hrithik Roshan-Jr NTR-starrer 'War 2' goes viral

Mumbai: The stirring 'India First' oath from the trailer of the action film "War 2", starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR, has taken the internet by storm.

The trailer, released by Yash Raj Films (YRF), offers a glimpse into what appears to be an epic clash between two titanic forces, represented by Roshan and Jr NTR. While the visual spectacle and heart-pounding action scenes drew expected praise, it was the oath, evoking deep patriotism and emotional intensity, that resonated most strongly with viewers.

Shridhar Raghavan, the head writer, YRF Spy Universe, revealed, "Adi (Aditya Chopra) was clear that he did not want a single plot point to be given out in the trailer. So, we created a fictional oath that the agents take during their induction into the deadly covert task forces."

"It mirrors the film’s dramatic story. Hrithik and Jr NTR are mirror images of each other, both bound by the call of duty to protect India, so why are they battling each other? The idea was to play on the intrigue," he said.

Sridhar also shed light on 'India First', an important aspect mentioned in the trailer. He said, “India first was always their driving force. From now on, it will be the war cry of every agent in this spy universe."

Helmed by vdirector Ayan Mukerji, "War 2" is the latest chapter in the YRF Spy Universe and is slated for global theatrical release on August 14 in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil languages. The film also stars Kiara Advani in a lead role.
