International Gujarati Film Festival kick started at Atlanta with grand opening ceremony

Vadilal International Gujarati Film festival (IGFF) is hosting its 3rd edition at Atlanta, GA, USA. A cinematic cultural festival is also supported by Gujarat Tourism. After the gap of two years due to worldwide corona pandemic, IGFF kick started on 20th May with Grand Red carpet event with opening ceremony.

In the Opening Ceremony Who’s who of Atlanta, Dignitaries & Gujarati community, and Gujarati Film fertility were present. Mr. Mike Mason - Mayor Peachtree Corners, Dr Swati Kulkarni - Consul General of India, Atlanta, IGFF 2022 Chairman - Dr. Naresh Parikh were Present.  Celebs of Gujarati Film Industry were there to grace the red carpet on the opening day.  Renowned Filmmaker and IGFF Festival Director Umesh Shukla, Festival Jury Member Gopi Desai, and Jay Vasavada along with other celebrities like Ishani Dave, Pooja Zaveri, Chetan Dhanani, Devaki, filmmaker Niraj Joshi were present.

On the opening Day more than 1000 Gujarati community of Atlanta were present to witness the first ever Gujarati Film Festival. Internationally most appreciated Gujarati film ‘The last film show' was the opening film and Writer- Director of the film Pan Nalin was also present to grace the occasion.

IGFF was previously held in the year 2018 at New Jersey and in the year 2019 at Los Angeles and New Jersey. The festival was attended by more than 5000 attendees in both the year and got over whelming response from the audience.

Final selection of the selected films will be screened during 21st and 22nd May. Local Community and Audience are very excited about the screening as well as on the last day which is on 22nd May, Grand Closing Night will be held with Award Ceremony. IGFF will select one exclusive Grand Prize Winner for each official competition category, the competition's highest and most coveted honor. Gujarati Film ‘21th Tiffin’ will be the closing Film.
