Hyderabad: Income Tax (IT) officials continued their raids in Hyderabad for the second consecutive day on Wednesday, targeting prominent film producers and production companies.

Inspections were conducted at SVC, Mythri Movie Makers, and Mango Media, focusing on the budgets and revenues of films, including the highly anticipated Pushpa 2.

On Tuesday, IT teams carried out searches across 55 locations, including the offices and residences of Telangana Film Development Corporation Chairman Dil Raju, his daughter Hanshitha Reddy, and his brother Sirish. Raids also targeted Mythri Movie Makers, with officials examining discrepancies in reported earnings and GST filings for films like Pushpa 2.

Bank lockers belonging to Dil Raju’s wife, Tejaswini, were opened as part of the investigation.

The IT department is scrutinising whether the declared collections, reportedly in the hundreds of crores, match actual revenues. Searches also extended to Mango Media, owned by singer Sunitha’s husband, Ramu, according to sources here.
