Mumbai: Actor Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma starrer 'Jab Harry Met Sejal', has gathered an approximate collection of Rs 16 crore on its first day at the domestic box-office.The romantic flick directed by Imtiaz Ali is now the fourth highest opening day grosser at the Indian box-office, but has received a mixed response from critics and audiences alike.
The film released across 3200 screens in the country is believed to be one of Shah Rukh's lowest film openings in the recent past, with his previous film 'Raees' crossing the 20-crore mark on the first day.'Jab Harry Met Sejal' revolves around the journey of Sejal (Anushka), who is searching for her engagement ring which she lost on her month-long Europe tour.
In quest of the object, she hires the same tour-guide Harinder Singh Nehra aka Harry (Shah Rukh) and together they set off visiting the exact same spots that she and her family visited—in the hope of finding the lost ring.It remains to be seen if the film picks up over the weekend and manages to cash in on the Raksha Bandhan holiday on Monday.(UNI)
