New Delhi: Riding on the presence of superstar Akshay Kumar, the popularity of the "Jolly LLB" franchise and the rave reviews for the film, "Jolly LLB2" has earned around Rs 50-cr in its opening weekend, trade sources said.The film, which was released on February 10, earned Rs 19.95-cr yesterday.
It had earned Rs 30.51-cr on Friday and Saturday.The film's total earnings on the opening weekend is thus Rs 50.46-cr."Jolly LLB 2" has thus become Akshay’s 4th highest opening weekend grosser after Singh Is Bliing (RS 54.44-crore), Housefull 3 (Rs 53.31-crore) and Brothers (Rs 52.08-crore).
Directed by Subhash Kapoor, "Jolly LLB2", a sequel to the 2013 hit "Jolly LLB", features Akshay Kumar and Huma Qureshi in the lead.It has Saurabh Shukla and Anu Kapoor in other key roles.The film has opened to rave reviews from critics. (UNI)
